Isipho Retreat – Pretoria
February 24 @ 8:30 am - 5:00 pmR100
There are a lot of conflicting and confusing answers out there when it comes to questions of love, relationships, identity and morality today: answers that we get from the wider world that we live in and (if we are honest) sometimes from the different people we meet at church. Many of us have been taught to know the rules of being Catholic when it comes to things like sex from a young age but how many of us truly understand the teachings of the church when it comes to who we are, what we are made for and the meaning of sex and sexuality? On this retreat, by unpacking the teachings of Pope Saint John Paul II, we will journey towards answering these questions together. Using scripture, the writings of the Saints and the Catechism of the Catholic church we will catch a glimpse of God’s original plan for us and our bodies through the way He created us male and female and explore what that means for us in our relationships and situations today.
Come learn about God’s plan for love, life and sex as revealed through our bodies. We hope you will be able to join us on this on day retreat as we withdraw from our fast paced lives and take time to just listen to what God is speaking to us in and through the way he created us!
