Isipho Retreat – Durban – Intro to the Theology of the Body
November 4 @ 8:00 am - November 5 @ 3:00 pm
This weekend, daytime retreat is a glimpse into discovering the mystery of what it means to be a human being fully alive. Who am I? What is the meaning of life? What does God want for me? By the witness of young people, the themes and insights of Saint Pope John Paul II’s Theology of the Body is presented in an easy to understand, relate-able way in this dynamic, South African two day program. This retreat will be aimed specifically at young adults and those in youth leadership roles but will benefit anyone with an open heart. As Christopher West, international speaker on the Pope’s teachings, says: “If you have a body then this is for you”.
“There is no passion to be found playing small – in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.” -Nelson Mandela.
“The world promises comfort, but you were not made for comfort, you were made for greatness” -Pope Emeritus Benedict
Come and discover the greatness for which you were made and the passion that comes from living your truly huge existence as a son or daughter of God!
What is the meaning of life? What is love? How far is too far? What is God’s plan for sex and sexuality? Where does homosexuality fit in? If you have ever asked these questions then this retreat is for you!
