Isipho Weekend Retreat
On the weekend of 25 & 26 March we will be holding the very first Isipho retreat: a weekend away program based on John Paul II’s Theology of the Body and applied to our South African context. On this weekend we journey together in answering the questions that are at the center of our hearts by unpacking the writings and teachings of Pope St John Paul II.
Our group started running these retreats a little over 7 years and the very first one happened to be at this very same venue in Roodepoort in 2009. We are really looking forward to being back! Personally, that retreat changed my life all those years ago in giving me the “whys” behind the rules and presenting the true beauty of God’s love and plan and I know that, by the grace of God, this message has the power to change yours too. If you have ever wondered “what’s the point of life, my friendships, love, dating, my body, marriage, sexuality” or ” going to church” then this weekend is exactly what you need. We will be discussing what it means be made in the image of God and especially what that means for us living in the world today. We will be asking the hard questions when it comes to sex and sexuality and have the opportunity to experience our Lord in a deep and meaningful way in prayer and the sacraments. I strongly urge you to take advantage of this retreat.
Come and hear God’s plan for your life, love and relationships as written in your body and presented by other Christians who have had their lives profoundly changed by this message. Please book soon as space is limited and bookings close on 20 March. Please click the banner below to secure your spot. See you there!
